My name is Annabel Sparrow, I have a BSc degree in Psychology and I am currently studying towards my MSc in Nutrition and Behaviour at Bournemouth University. I am working towards becoming an accredited Nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition.
I am passionate about building healthy relationships with food and understanding the connection between what we eat and how this can impact on our mood and wellbeing. Throughout my studies I aim to bring insights into the relationship between food and mood which I will be sharing on this blog.
I am currently on my own low FODMAP journey which stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides Disaccharides Monosaccharides And Polyols - quite a mouthful! This is a way of eating to help remove triggers for IBS sufferers or people with gut disorders. *You should only follow this diet if you have been advised to and are working with an experienced registered dietician or nutritionist.
To help anyone else on this journey I am sharing nutritious and yummy recipes on this blog which are all low FODMAP and handy tips and tricks along the way. Hopefully highlighting that low FODMAP doesn’t have to be boring and can definitely be highly nutritious, the key is to focus on what you can add into your diet, not what you have to remove!
